I Came I Saw I Captured!

Talking about photography will be my humble attempt understanding where I stand on this subject. So, in my introductory Photography post I will be talking about how I got introduced to Photography and my initial experiences in the field.

To Start off.. I was introduced to this gem of an art by my friend Mr. Glenn Mark Xavier, we started out to be church friends namely we used to meet only on Sundays, in the preceding years lots have changed and now I consider Glenn as my closest pal. I roughly remember it was somewhere around in the year 2009. I was in my first year of BscIT, Glenn was in his second year of BMM , those years we were movie buddies we used to bunk our college meet at an unanimous place, decide on a movie and watch at Jai Ganesh Cinema, Mulund or Anand Cinema, Thane and the likes.  Both single screen theaters, those years we could afford only those. Multiplex was a luxury for us.

Glenn called me one day asking if I’m free, I responded affirmatively; and i left for Glenn’s place which is mulund. And he told me he has a college project and he needs my help in it. And I said ok, In what way? He said he has a Photography project and he needs series of photographs depicting the themes which were given to him by his professor(I don’t remember the themes). I had always had interest in digital art. I used to make posters/banners/booklets for my church, college events etc. so I thought helping glenn in this project would also help me know more about Photography which i had interest to know bt dint had a medium.

So that very day, we took off and from that moment my journey with the camera started.
We wandered around remote places in mulund, thane to get these pictures. Using Glenn’s treasured Olympus digital camera which was nick-named later as “Battery Empty” one could figure why :P.  Glenn was very keen in making me understand shutter-aperture mechanism, ISO preferences and much more of technical aspects. I was like a curious child absorbing everything what glenn had learned in his photography class and started to note it down on my head. We got few good pictures that day and I was filled with vital knowledge enough to encourage me and pursue photography as a hobby.

Fast Forward.. to the present day, my exploration to the hobby has been pretty good. In these four odd years I have covered my journey from being an admirer to some-what a person who can click. To talk professionally I did share my works with few firms exploring Wedding Photography, Event Photography, Children Photography, Corporate Photography to name a few.

I consider one should maintain their passion that they had for the art , even if you take ur hobby as profession, Or else you can kill your interest in the coming years, is what i learnt during the phase of my professional period.

Talking about accomplishments.. I have few and would like to share it with you all
